The natural beauty of the property offers hiking trails, picnic grounds, natural springs and a waterfall. After a day of hiking, bicycling or sightseeing, enjoy a quiet relaxing evening around an onsite open campfire pit with an adjacent gazebo equipped with a commercial BBQ, dining area, and hot and cold running water.

Whether hiking the famous Chilkoot Trail or just enjoying the serenity of the wildlife and history, guests will be sure to leave with unforgettable memories of their personal experience with life long local hosts, Fred and Kathy Hosford, as well as encounters with indigenous bears, sea lions, bald eagles and a host of other wildlife.

The historic Chilkoot Trail is the "Gateway to the Klondike." It was the Klondike Gold Rush of 1896-99 that transformed the Chilkoot Trail into legend. Today thousands of people follow the route of the stampeders along this 33-mile long trail, the longest outdoor museum in the world.

The old townsite of Dyea boasted a bustling population of more than 10,000 during the gold rush. A daily walking tour is offered by the National Park Service Rangers. Visit the historic 'Slide Cemetery'. Other activities in Dyea include dog sled rides, horseback tours, day trail hikes, river rafting, bird watching, fishing and much more.

New zipline in 2011, spectacular day trip on a catamaran to Haines or Juneau. Consider a day trip to historic Carcross, Canada (passport required). Goldpanning, dogsledding, horseback riding… the options are endless.
